Overview
During hydration the expansive agent forms ettringite and related products that produce slight volumetric expansion. Under restraint from reinforcement and adjacent concrete this converts into pre-compression that offsets shrinkage stress — fewer cracks, and better self-waterproofing.
Applications
Below-grade waterproofing, post-poured strips, very long structures, and crack control in mass concrete.
